Chalk is a score-keeping app for iPhone, Android, Apple Watch and Wear OS. This policy explains what the app collects and why.
What we collect
Match data you create
Sport, scores, player names you type and timestamps are stored on your device and, when you use a watch, transferred between your watch and your phone. We do not receive it. There is no account and no server operated by Raffina in this version of the app.
Health and fitness data
On Apple Watch the app records each match as a workout with Apple Health (HealthKit) so the score stays on screen and your effort counts towards your activity. On Wear OS it uses Health Services for the same purpose. Heart rate and calories stay on your device and in Apple Health or Health Connect under your control. We never receive health data.
Advertising
The free version shows banner ads on the phone app, never on the watch and never on the live scoring screen. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Depending on your consent choice, Google may use your device's advertising identifier and app interaction data to personalise ads. You can choose non-personalised ads in the consent form, change your choice in Settings, or remove ads with a one-time purchase. Google's policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Purchases
The “Remove ads” purchase is processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and remember your entitlement across reinstalls. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user id and store receipt data; it does not receive your name or match data. RevenueCat's policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
What we do not do
- No accounts, no email, no contacts, no location.
- No sale of personal data.
- No tracking across other companies' apps unless you allow it in the iOS tracking prompt.
Your choices
- Delete a match in History (long press) or delete the app to remove all local data.
- Manage ad personalisation in the consent form or your device's ad settings.
- Manage health permissions in Apple Health or Health Connect.
Children
Chalk is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
